Great knife, but Perrin’s prices are off the wall. Usually simple carbon steel, 1080 maybe? and even if it’s D2, no handle material, crude finish, and what….$200 give or take? Sorry, I think that’s nuts. You can use a Bark River or one of Goldsworthy’s knives for much less. Equal to the task, IMHO.
Yes, Jeff Finder sells cheapo’s for like 15 bucks. You can even grind them down for trainers. I like Fred and I know Laci Szabo and Vince Olier, but I doubt I’d buy anything in that range. Fred’s scapel’s are very cool too.
